Apprenticeships

Committed to helping develop people with the right skills

Where are our apprenticeships located?

We have partnered with the Grimsby Institute and Furness College to offer offshore wind turbine technician apprenticeships in Grimsby on the UK's East coast and Barrow-in-Furness on the West coast.

As an Apprentice Wind Turbine Technician, you’ll learn how to operate and maintain our offshore wind turbines. We work to the highest health safety and environmental standards and you’ll be fully trained and supported during this programme.

About the programme

The three-year apprenticeships will comprise of one year of classroom-based learning followed by two years working on site with Ørsted.

Our apprentices study to earn a Maintenance & Operations Engineering Technician (MOET) qualification, which incorporates a BTEC Level 3 in Engineering. The MOET qualification gives our apprentices core knowledge, skills and behaviours needed for industry and, if they successfully complete the programme, will become full-time employees at Ørsted.
